Baby Emmanuel Haro’s parents plead not guilty to murder in child’s disappearance

The parents of the missing baby Emmanuel Haro pleaded not guilty to one count of murder every Thursday, a child’s mother claimed he had disappeared for more than two weeks in the attack.

Emmanuel’s parents, Jake Haro, 32, and Rebecca Haro, 41, were charged with malicious murder in Riverside County Superior Court last week. They are also charged with making false police reports, misdemeanors. Riverside County prosecutors demanded that it be replaced with $1 million in bail.

Authorities said the couple faked the 7-month-old missing and the baby was believed to be dead.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Rebecca Haro said she was attacked on August 14 in the Yucapa parking lot outside a large 5 store while replacing Emmanuel’s diapers. But investigators said there was inconsistency in her initial statement, and when they faced these details of her, they said she stopped working together.

Authorities arrested their parents at Kaba Zon’s home on August 21. Sheriff’s investigators are now focused on finding Emanuel’s body. During the first few weeks of the investigation, the search team searched for an isolated field in the Moreno Valley. Officials said they accompanied Jake Haro but found nothing.

The case captures the obsession of a true criminal mystery fanatic, the couple insists on their innocence as a resurface to the previous criminal case of Jake Haro.
