“Well, it’s not a ‘matrix’; phone numbers are attracted not only to other phones. [Waltz] talk. In journalism, the most obvious explanation is usually the explanation: my phone number is in his phone because my phone number is in his phone. He told everyone that he had never seen me or spoke to me. It’s not true at all,” Goldberg told NBC News host Kristen Welker in Sunday’s “Meeting Media.”

He accepted it, and was added to a chat group called “Houthi PC Group,” where he continued to see a series of Trump officials discussing the upcoming attack on Hossis, a critically illicit national security violation that critics call.
“I know why he was doing it. But, you know, it’s become a ridiculous situation. There’s no sutterfuge here. My phone number is on his phone; he mistakenly added me to the group chat. We went.”
Welk asked Goldberg directly whether he believed that the information on the group message chain had been classified.
“Let me answer this way. As I watched them unfold, when the text appears… it was 11:44 a.m. Saturday… Pete Hegseth assured that American fighters began taking off in 30 minutes to bomb enemy targets we knew, we knew were protected by anti-Asian competitive turrets. It was about to fall into a fatal situation, and the Secretary of Defense was telling everyone in the group chat–by the way, including me–these pilots were about to fall into damage.”
“Talking about them after they come back is a completely different thing,” he added. “But it looks weird to have that information on a commercial messaging app, so when I watch this information on my phone, I’m a little annoyed.”

Goldberg listed 18 members of the group, including Waltz, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. The next few days followed by discussions about attacking Hossis, an Iran-backed terrorist group that wreaked havoc in the Red Sea and destroyed traffic through the critical Suez Canal.
