The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detective has issued a no-bail warrant for Zehao Lu, 41, a murder case related to the March 11 killing in China.
Lu is suspected of having the 43-year-old woman and her 13-year-old son in the driveway with Force them into the home. Once inside, Lu shot the boy’s 61-year-old father and then fled, detectives said.
“The tragic murder was caused by a dispute between two people who knew each other,” Arcadia Police Chief Roy Nakamura said in a press release. “We express our deepest sympathy for the victim’s families during this extremely difficult time.”
Los Angeles County prosecutors have charged Lu with one count of murder, two counts of assault for a semi-automatic pistol, and one count of theft, with a person present committing a felony to Lu.
The sheriff’s department said in a press release that Lu was considered armed and dangerous and was believed to have fled to China. The arrest warrant includes an extradition order.
Officials said the victim’s identity has not been released before the subsequent notice from relatives.
