“I could have a conversation for the next three hours,” Rufen said. “But what I chose to say is, like, I lost the show because I talked sh-. I think losing the show is a good thing because I’m not going to be there and show it all the time, it’s not anyone’s fault. I was thinking, bet.”

She continued: “Then they started f — sending the vanished people to prisons in El Salvador. They rolled back civil rights. So I was like, if I did that, then I was a sh — I couldn’t do it.”

Wood called the decision Ruffin’s “disguise” and added that she would regret doing what she expected of her and would be bothered by choice.

WHCA’s decision to cancel Ruffin’s performance is the second day White House Aide Taylor Budowich criticized the recruitment of anti-Trump comedians.
