“I am an immigrant, I have no record, no fear, queer and no discomfort,” said Greisa Martinez Rosas, a long-time left-wing immigration activist. Report in the New York Post.
The comments come amid protests over Trump administration immigration and cost-cutting policies in recent days, with critics slamming the president, who pushed for accelerated deportation and deported federal agencies through the Department of Efficiency.

Rosas originally came from Hidalgo, Mexico, But when she came to the United States as a child, she eventually grew up in the Dallas area, the report noted. She has since continued as executive director of United We Dream, a network of 400,000 young immigrants.
Her comments were made in front of thousands of protesters who attended a rally in the country’s capital, one of more than 1,000 protests held across the country on Saturday.
The report noted that Rosas’ comments quickly became a hit on social media, and not all users were enthusiastic about her message.

Others quipped that her public statements could place her on the radar of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“The only thing she didn’t tell ICE was her home address,” said an X user. “I believe they can take a look.”
Another added: “I think we’ll see her arrest later this week and thank you for stepping up and letting Ice know where you are.”
