Throughout the sport, athletes have not been away from public Express their faith.
Angel of Los Angeles Rescuer Ben Joyce is one of the athletes who share Christian faith, sharing with Outkick’s Trey Wallace how he likes to see others show faith throughout the sport.

In the NFL, Houston Texans‘CJ Stroud and Kansas City Chief Harrison Butker are many of the people in the sport who have praised God. In the NBA, Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, Orlando Magic’s Jonathan Isaac and Denver Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr. have all actively discussed their faith.
For Joyce and his Angels teammates, he said there was a healthy compliment between workouts, bullpen training, and more, which took him root.
“The clubhouse I share with, they all have the same feeling, and we’ve done things from Bible learning to having a church every Sunday,” Joyce explained.

“I feel that just makes the life we live easier because I don’t think I can live this without that foundation. You can get stuck in everything in professional baseball and it’s really just bringing you back to the planet and getting me rooted.”
The 24-year-old Flame Spitzer was at a good start in the 2025 season (his third inning with the Angels) as he won’t allow him to win the run as he scored 2.2 innings in three games.
As Joyce continues to make his mark on Major League Baseball (MLB), he continues to use his platform to share his beliefs while encouraging others to do the same.

“It’s great that people are more open to it, and at the end of the day, God is great and everything I do is glorify Him. If I could have any kind of platform to spread it, that’s what I want to do.”
