Angel Rees Tired of losing, she was shouting loudly.

The Chicago Sky Star sparked her franchise as they made the second-worst record in the WNBA on Wednesday 9-30.

Rees tells the Chicago Tribune. “We have to attract good players. We have to attract good players. This is not negotiable to me.”

Reese said she might need to move on if the sky can’t generate more talent on the roster.

“I’m very voice-over about what we need and what we want,” Rees said. “I want to be here in my career, but if things don’t get resolved, obviously I might have to go in a different direction and do the best for me.

“But when I’m here, I’m going to try to be open to what I have here and maximize it as much as possible.”

Regarding Vandersloot, Reese’s assessment goes directly to 2026.

“We can’t rely on Courtney to come back at her age,” Rees explained. “I know she will be a big asset for us, but we can’t rely on that. We need someone who might be young to have some experience, someone is playing games, willing to compete for a championship and have been a championship before.”

Since entering the league, Rees has averaged doubles per game, although some critics will say that cleaning up the board with his own missed shots will exaggerate the statistics. In 29 games this season, Rees averaged 14.6 points and 12.6 rebounds per game.
