Vikings open to veteran quarterbacks after last year’s starter Sam Darnold signed with The Sam Darnold Seattle Seahawks. However, Minnesota also has former Michigan national champion JJ McCarthy, the team’s first-round pick in the 2024 draft.
Rodgers, 41, is not a long-term solution for any team.
Famous NFL agent Leigh Steinberg, who negotiated contracts for multiple Hall of Fame quarterbacks, told Fox News Digital that he made Minnesota a “positive fit” with Rodgers in his career, especially due to McCarthy’s presence as a potential Protégé and that the team is suitable for winning in the short term.
“So you need to have a situation because Aaron might play for another year, maybe two more years, but it’s not a permanent solution, so it’s a one or two-year solution,” Steinberg said. “So he could go to a really good team, but just the last little piece to put them on the top and he could coach the young quarterback.”
Brett Favre begged Aaron Rodgers

Steinberg also believes that it is not very appropriate for a team to not win in the short term, and without a young quarterback. The Giants are a team that fits this mold. The Steelers may have won last season, but this year is not a good game. They also don’t have young program quarterbacks.
“A team that is really not happy with the quarterback is not that positive about his solution,” Steinberg said.
If Rodgers did eventually get a quote from the Vikings and signed with them, he would follow almost the same career path, the career path of his Green Bay Packer ex Brett Favre. Like Favre, Rodgers participated in most of his career with the Packers, winning the Super Bowl before being traded to the New York Jets. Favre then spent his last two years with the Vikings.

Favre advised Rodgers and encouraged him to sign with the Vikings in an interview on the Fox News channel’s “Will Cain Show” on Tuesday.
“Be sure to sign with them,” Favre said. “They got a really good football team. They were full in almost every position. They made it to the playoffs last year. They got a huge fan base, just like the Packers. If there was a chance, it was a great place to win.
“Of course, you have to play the packer.”
