This is no secret Aaron Carter In the years of his tragic death in 2022, struggling with drug abuse and mental health issues. Now, a new documentary called “Carters” reveals the details of famous family losses, trauma and heartbroken intimacy that never appeared.
In a two-part documentary premiering on Paramount+ on April 15, Aaron’s twin sister Angel Carter Conrad, along with close friends and family – carries out the experience that led to Aaron’s death, including a horrible moment in which one of the “atheistic” Aaron drives his brother to his brother Nick Carter’s The house was holding a gun in his car.

Angel recalls her phone conversation with Aaron, who tells her that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Angel said during the conversation, Aaron said he often thought of “killing the baby” and Nick’s wife Lauren Kitt Carter.
“I was just dealing with it and going all out,” Angel said. “I was so shocked by the conversation and was brought back and dealing with what was happening.”
Angel consciously decided not to tell her backstreet boy brothers for fear that Nick would take action and in turn ruin Aaron’s career.

“I don’t want to be injured [Aaron]“The angel admits.
However, a few weeks later, Aaron began buying multiple guns, including shotguns, AK-47s, and more, and showing them on social media.

“He was obviously in a very, very dark place, posing a threat to Angel, Nick,” Angel’s husband Corey Conrad said in the documentary. “Obviously, he wasn’t in his mind.”
Angel admits she is “so scared” about what her brother will do, so she eventually tells Nick.

Nick announced on X (formerly Twitter) at the time: “After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I were asked today to seek restraining orders against our brother Aaron.”

“Given Aaron’s increasingly shocking behavior and his recent confession, he hid the idea and intention of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we have no choice but to take every possible measure to protect ourselves and our family.”

“We love our brother and really hope that he will get the proper treatment he needs before he causes any harm to himself or anyone else,” the statement concluded.
The family thought there was no choice.
“He didn’t control himself at the time,” Cory said.
Corey revealed that despite their efforts, the restriction order made Aaron “more violent.”
Aaron became “more violent.”
“He drove there [Las] Las Vegas was in his car with a gun, live streaming, and we knew he was driving to Nick’s neighborhood there. ” he recalled.
At that time, Aaron’s assistant found that my phone had a later star position and provided live updates to Aaron’s location.
“Not to Kentucky [where he was scheduled to perform]he’s going [Las] Las Vegas,” said Lori Knight, a long-time manager of Aaron and Carter family friend, Lori Knight, said: “We got a ping that he was leaving the exit of Nick’s home, and then the next ping we got was some restaurants across the street from the entrance to Nick’s gated community. ”

Knight added: “Literally, we have moments like, like, ‘Oh my goodness, he’s going to kill Nick or Lauren, he’s going to kill someone. Then, he’s going to kill himself.’
“They have helicopters, they have SWAT. We don’t know what he is going to do, what he is going to try,” Cory added.
“It was a terrible moment to hear them, Lauren and Nick,” Knight recalls. “You’ll hear the horror they felt in that moment. There was total chaos in the house.”

Angel said her twin brother was in court last time she saw her twin brothers legally taken away.
“He was really angry. He shouted at me, ‘You died to me.’ It was horrible.

“What we want is Aaron gets help, healthy,” Cory added. “We are trying to save him in any way.”
“Aaron’s mental illness manifests as something very dark,” Lori said. “The last few years of his life did very terrible things. He hurt a lot of people. The biggest one he hurt was the one who really loved him and cared for him.”

Angel reconnected with her brother shortly before his death, saying the family was in “crisis mode” and the week he died.
“He said, ‘You’re the reason I’m addicted to drugs. It’s your fault.'” Angel recalled, Aaron told her at the time. “He said, ‘You always make me a scapegoat.’ I was frustrated that he blamed me, he didn’t have what he was doing.”
That was their last conversation.
Aaron died on November 5, 2022. According to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner – Mr. Conner, he drowned in a bathtub. “The effects of ethanedifluoroethane (aerosol propellant found in spray cans) and alprazolam (commonly known as Xanax)” were listed as contributing factors to his death.
The coroner said the method of death was ruled as an “accident.”

“I will never forget to receive text messages in London,” Nick said in the documentary. “To this day, it’s still incredible. I haven’t had the chance to feel sad.”
In the documentary, families want to spread awareness of mental illness, especially among children.
Angel and Nick are not only grieving Aaron’s loss and their father and their two other siblings.

“We have to do something. It can’t just be swept the carpet,” Angel said in the documentary. “How do we stop this? We stop this by shouting. I just think there’s a lesson in life. To turn something so miserable into something positive, that’s exactly what Aaron wants.”
“Aaron loved his wife,” she added. “He likes to show up there for people. I want people to remember that part of him.”
Despite the tragedy, Angel – A nonprofit activist Children’s Mental Health Foundation (Formerly our sleeves), a program at Children’s Hospitals nationwide to raise awareness about the importance of children’s mental health – still focusing on the most important things: families.
“I never want to feel the pain and sadness I have for my brothers and sisters, because at this point, that’s how I connect with them,” she said. “I don’t want to be because they’re not forgotten. They’re remembered. They deserve it.”
