Allen’s outstanding career has been tainted by the most shocking allegations in Hollywood history.

The allegations were first revealed in 1992, when Dylan Farrow, then seven, accused her adopted father, Allen, of sexually harassing her at her home in Connecticut.

“If an actor says, ‘I’m not going to work with him,’ basically, the actor is thinking, ‘I’m doing a good thing,’ from his point of view,’ I’m making a contribution, I’m making a statement,” Allen shared with the Wall Street Journal. “But he’s really making a mistake. He might learn this one day.”

Allen delves into the events leading up to the alleged and continues to react to the consequences.

Despite Allen’s personal and public tragedy, he couldn’t help finding some dark humor in this situation.

“Yes, for me, it was fun to watch the reaction,” he told the Wall Street Journal, reviewing how people discussed his case with certainty. “It’s so funny, they’re all talking, they’re all determined their foundation, I’m sitting here, I know the real facts, they don’t have it, but they’re talking on professional authority.”

Although he defended his allegations, he hints at the emotional loss caused by the entire ordeal in his memoirs.

“I understand her shock, frustration, anger, everything,” Allen wrote, referring to the consequences of the breakup and the subsequent legal struggle. “This is the right reaction,” he admitted.

Allen continues to resolve the ongoing allegations against him. Allen pointed to two independent investigations, one conducted by the child sexual abuse clinic at Yale University’s New York Haven Hospital and the other by the New York State Child Welfare Authority, neither of which found no evidence to support the claim made by his adopted daughter Dylan.

Despite being exempted from liability, the battle is not over. In 1993, a judge ruled that the sole custody of Dylan and her brother Satchel was granted to her mother Mia. The decision marked a painful turning point in Allen’s personal life.

While the truth behind the explosive allegations of Allen and Dylan is the past – only they know what exactly happened.

Dylan is unwavering in claiming that Allen sexually assaulted her, but the filmmakers continue to deny that, insisting that Dylan has never abused her even though he “believed the advice for her.”

“I firmly believe that she believes in her advice and has been advocating on her for many years,” Allen wrote in her memoir.

Dylan, 40, opened fire backwards and said: “I was tired of misogynistic and unscientific narratives that I was being directed or brainwashed. Stay away from it, this is the fact I reported as a kid, has been narrated continuously since then and has been narrated ever since. I am a 40-year-old woman. I am a 40-year-old woman. I sexually assaulted Woody Allen.”
