British singer Morrissey cancels two U.S. shows after death threat on social media

British singer Morrissey canceled two U.S. shows on his ongoing tour after a Canadian man alleged death threat on social media.

The singer’s full name, Steven Patrick Morrissey, is scheduled to perform in Connecticut on Friday and in Boston on Saturday.

“The upcoming performances at Foxwoods and MGM concert halls this weekend have been cancelled due to recent events and prudence to the safety of artists and bands. All tickets will be automatically refunded at your initial purchase point.

We thank you for your understanding,” the singer’s Facebook page Posted.

Mr Morrisey performed in Ottawa on September 12, despite allegedly posing a threat to him on the Blues platform.

In a freely deleted post, with the display title “The guy who was shot a hundred thousand times a day” wrote: “Steven Patrick Morrissey, when you perform next week on TD Place on September 12 at 9pm on Ottawa, I’ll have a lot of guns in the audience, I’ll have a lot of guns in the audience, I’ll have a lot of guns in the audience, I’ll have a lot of guns in the audience, I’ll have a lot of guns in the blog.

Noah Castellano, 26, a resident of Ottawa, was accused of writing the article. Canadian authorities arrested him on Friday and accused him of threats to cause death or physical harm. According to Ottawa citizens, he was at his father’s residence in Washington, D.C.
