Charlie Kirk memorial in Arizona expected to draw 100,000, with Trump and Vance headlining

An armed man was detained Friday at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the Secret Service told Fox News Numbers.

“The U.S. Secret Service, coordinated by local law enforcement in Glendale, Arizona, is investigating a person showing suspicious behavior at a state farm stadium,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told Fox News numbers on Saturday.

Guglielmi added: “The person was in contact with the Secret Service and said during the encounter that he was a member of the law enforcement officer and that he was armed. The person is not a member of the authorized law enforcement department and is currently in custody.”

Guglielmi confirmed to Fox News Digital that individuals who have not yet been publicly identified are actually armed.

“The U.S. Secret Service and local law enforcement are investigating why he is at the site,” he added.

“This guy is a former deputy sheriff of Idaho. He comes and determines himself with an expired qualification. They are going through his background and trying to figure out what he is working there,” a federal source familiar with the investigation told Fox News.

President Donald Trump and Vice President Judd Vance are Among the speakers Kirk is planned to be honored at Sunday’s event.
