I mean, you can’t ask for something bigger,” Morris said. “When you start something like the U.S. Senate campaign, an iconic leader like Charlie, who believes in you and believes in your vision, it changes everything. It changes the way you look at the game. It gives you confidence, and I think I think few candidates are lucky to get it.”

Morris added: “Charlie started playing the sport from the beginning, and I think that sets the tone as well and shows the conservatives what kind of sport we are going to do.
“But he spoke for me before a lot of people knew me, my beliefs and my character,” Morris said. “I was an outsider at the time. I was not a professional politician. I had never run for office before and had provided me with a margin in the sport, which changed everything for us.”

Morris is in the midst of a growing field of candidates against major contender Andy Barr and former Kentucky Attorney General and 2023 gubernatorial candidate Daniel Cameron Republican race This is combustible.
Barr wrote in a few hours after Kirk’s murder: “Charlie Kirk’s assassination is a national shame and a wake-up call to the United States. Enough. Enough. Enough. I continue to pray for Charlie’s family in this incredible tragedy.”

After Kirk died while shooting while talking to college students at Utah Valley University, Morris said he was more motivated than ever to win the Senate game.
“From the moment I started thinking about this game, I had a burning desire. I felt every fiber of myself felt,” he said. “Let me tell you that since it happened, this fire is like a fire that I can’t describe. We have to win, we have to respect Charlie and everything he did for us. We have no choice.”
