Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro confirmed that he will be shooting in York County on Wednesday involving multiple law enforcement officers.
Shapiro said he had briefed him and asked personnel in the area to follow instructions from local law enforcement and Pennsylvania State Police.
Lieutenant Austin Davis posted a prayer to X.
“Please send prayers to officials and those involved in the York County shooting,” Davis wrote. “As we learn more, follow all police guidance and stay away from the area.”

It is unclear how many people were injured or if there were any arrests.

Shortly after the incident, the Mexican consulate was posted on X, noting that the Mexican community “recommended to comply with official instructions.”
“The consulate is monitoring the incidents that took place this afternoon in the town of North Cordorus, Pennsylvania,” the consulate wrote in the Post. “The Mexican community is advised to follow official instructions.”

Officials noted that if “consular assistance is needed”, they set up a hotline.
It is not clear how the Mexican community is linked to the incident.

The Spring Grove School District issued a shelter alert related to the incident, which officials said did not involve any school or student.
