How to turn call filter on iPhone
1. Tap settings.
2. Tap application Near the bottom of the menu.
3. Tap Telephone.
Under the “Screen Unknown Caller” section, you will see three options: Never, Reason for Calling and Silence. Here are every option you should know, which one is right for most people.
Which call filtering option should you choose?
Select Always Default option, let’s make a call from a number that we haven’t saved and ring on our phone. It can also record calls in the cell list in the mobile app, just like before the call filter.
If you click on the reason to ask for a call, your iPhone will ask anyone from someone who hasn’t saved the number why they call you without typing on the iPhone. After the caller answers a few questions, your iPhone will notify you of the caller’s answer. You can then decide whether to answer the call.
You can also choose Silence, which is the nuclear choice for the phone. Any unsaved phone number will be silent and sent to voicemail without any questions asked.
For most people who want to screen their phone calls, the reason to request a call is the best choice. I chose it and while it notified me when the scam answered some questions, they rarely did it, but it notified me when my doctor’s office called to overcome some test results. If I chose to silence, I would miss the doctor’s office (the choice would never check all calls if I expected it to matter).
If you choose a reason to ask for a call and dislike, you can always follow the steps above again and select one of the other options. Remember, you can always keep your iPhone silent and you won’t be disturbed by any phone calls at all. My wife hasn’t been silent for months and she’s still blessed to be called by spam.
