“The Equal Protection Program of the Rhode Island Nonprofit Legal Uprising Foundation expresses its appreciation for the U.S. Department of Justice’s lawsuit in federal court involving obvious racist educators who are clearly racist loan forgiveness programs held in Providence Public School District,” Jacobson said.
“This case was filed by a civil rights complaint originally filed by the Legal Uprising Foundation at the U.S. Department of Education and pursued by the Foundation and its Equal Protection Program for more than two years,” Jacobson added. “The educators of the Color Program were created in partnership with the Rhode Island Foundation and publicly discriminate against white teachers. We hope that the parties responsible will be held legally responsible, and the role of the Rhode Island Foundation will be the subject of further efforts by the Department of Justice.”
