Democratic nomination XP Lee defeats Republican nominee Ruth Bittner in a special election on Tuesday Minneapolis suburbs According to the Associated Press.
Lee’s victory in the Blue Zone will be stalemate again, with Minnesota homes, Democrats and Republicans holding 67 seats in the room. This will restore the power-sharing agreement between the two parties after the Democrats lose their majority in the 2024 election.

The special election is a week after the conservative firepower, commentator and co-founder of the United States Charlie Kirk Shocked the whole country and put Hotman’s murder and death back into focus.

Prosecutors alleged that gunman Vance Boolter had posed as a police officer for carrying out what they claimed was “political assassination” by Hortman and her husband Mark. Boelter has also been accused of shooting and injuring State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette at a nearby home.

Born in a refugee camp in Thailand after fleeing the Vietnam War, Lee told the Associated Press before the election that continuing Holtman’s legacy was his main motivation for the campaign.

Lee said: “I wouldn’t have run if it weren’t for the murder of Melissa Hortman.

Real estate agent Bittner told Minnesota’s public radio station that Hotman “is a very unique person. We’re not going to try to replace her.”

The violence in Minnesota was further shocked late last month, when two elementary school students were killed and 21 people were injured in a shooting at a Catholic Catholic school in Minneapolis.
