Arnold Schwarzenegger As he reflects on Charlie Kirk’s assassination, he shares his fear of the future of democracy.
The 78-year-old actor and former Republican governor joined USC interim president Beong-soo Kim on Monday for live discussions as part of the USC International Democracy Celebration.
In their conversation, in front of an audience of college students and faculty, King asked last week about his reaction to the murder of conservative activists on the Utah campus.
“I’m very, very frustrated about the reason why someone’s life is different because their life is different because they have different opinions,” Schwarzenegger said in an event he shared on Tuesday.
“It’s a great communicator and a great advocate for the Republican cause. He has a great way to communicate with students who agree or disagree with him.

The actor continued, “This is human. Human life is gone.” “And he is a great father, a great husband. I’m thinking of his children. They’re only reading him now, not the stories he read to them before bed.”

“So that’s why people I highly recommend say, ‘Well, what should I do? I’m just one person.’ Each of you can make a difference.”

Speaking to the crowd, the Terminator star called on students to unite and show leadership at the UC Democratic and Republican clubs.

“Imagine that you’ll get together and start communicating together and solve problems together. You’ll get the media out and introduce the story right away,” Schwarzenegger said. “You’ll be a role model for other parts of the country and all universities, how you’ll get together, how you’ll see the other side as an enemy. Or as they say today, like they say, or fight with fire.

“You can show leadership together and be this example. Because remember, the power of the people is the ultimate power. That’s all about democracy.” “So use this power.
“Show the country and the world what we can do.”

In the title of his X post, Schwarzenegger was one of the first celebrities to react publicly since Kirk’s death, who praised the crowd at the USC event.
