Johnson told those who gathered at the vigil. “I think the best way to remember Charlie Kirk’s memory is to live his life.”

Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Most Whip Tom Emmer and Republican Congress Chairman Lisa McClain also provided tribute words during the vigil.
“Assassination Charlie Kirk Not only an attack on one person, but also a attack on traditional values that makes our country a great country. ”
Emmer added: “He killed this fact for this, and many Americans celebrated his murder because of this, asking the question: How do we stay so far away from our country’s values? More importantly, how do we come back?”

After Kirk was murdered, she told progressive news outlet Zeteo that Kirk used to “understand slavery, and what blacks experienced in this country because he said June Teenth shouldn’t exist.”
“There are a lot of people out there talking about him just wanting to have a civil debate,” Omar said. “You know, nothing is more like pretending that his words and actions have not been recorded yet and have been around for the past decade or so.”
