Just as Kirk traveling Kirk invited liberal students to “prove me wrong”, Cox’s efforts to make America “better disagree” make the Governor’s work constitute a tragic event.
When Cox served as chairman of the National Governors Association from July 2023 to July 2024, it was better to disagree.

A spokesman for the association told Fox News Digital that the plan reflects the bipartisan mission of the National Governors Association to “encourage healthier dialogue and reduce political polarization.”
When he ran for governor in 2020, Cox became a joint ad for national candidate Professor Christopher Peterson, calling for Utah to “debate issues without demeaning each other’s personalities”, in the latter’s words.
“We can disagree with each other,” Cox added.

Cox joins the current National Governors Association Vice Chairman Wes Moore Maryland’s “Disagree Better” event in 2024 won praise from the then president Joe Biden.
“I thank Governor Cox for his efforts to make the NGA’s mission to make those of us who disagree with each other and treat each other with a sense of dignity and respect,” Biden said at the time.
Cox spent most of his time as president of the National Governors Association pushing for “better opinion” messages, and as governor, he was commensurate with Peterson’s virus PSA.
Other figures in independent nonprofits that “disagree better” include officials from the American Enterprise Institute, the Charles Koch Koch Charity Foundation, former judges and at least 23 governors from both sides.
“We are working with celebrities, athletes, musicians, public figures, influencers and political leaders to demonstrate the divide in respect in their actions,” a statement on its website said.
“The call for nonpartisan rally initially was a governor, and it has grown into something bigger.”

“The way you actually influence people and convince people, I still believe that persuasion is to treat them through dignity and respect,” he said.
Polis was also listed as a better disagreeing official (not immediately had public contact information) saying it was important to be curious and ask questions.
“This does not mean you will agree, nor does it mean that either party should feel any pressure to agree. But at least, you will verify the humanity of people you disagree with.”
Kirk aims to have civic discussions with willing students, sometimes with sensitive political issues.
Videos of his past campus visits showed his attitude toward multiple sulfuric acid or sharp language responding to straightforward and calm manners, responding to Cox’s own advice.
