Five years ago this week, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed history of the South Lawn of the White House Abraham Agreement. Many have long believed that dreams become an undeniable reality: Arab countries openly embrace peace with Israel is not as a by-product of endless negotiations, but as a result of American leaders.
I am honored to work with the President Donald Trump Make this day possible. The Abraham Agreement is by no means accidental diplomacy or naive fantasy.
They were born from a policy rooted in reality: this power is the most reliable guarantee of peace, the United States must stand with Israel without hesitation, and Israel’s Arab neighbors have the right encouragement to find common reasons with the Jewish state.

Trump’s landmark deal is the real key to peace in the Middle East
When Hamas launched a barbaric terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, Israel launched an open war on Hamas-controlled Gaza, and many feared that the young partnership would collapse. Instead, the ambassador stayed in Israel, the government kept in touch and continued trade. In areas where the league is often fleeting, this resilience is historic in itself.
Peace is fruitful. Trade between Israel and its new partners surged to billions of dollars.
Joint commercial enterprises not only create jobs, but also weave society together in ways that are almost impossible. Now direct flights connect Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Manama.
Now, Israeli tourists are on vacation on land they were forced to flee decades ago. These human connections make future conflicts smaller and longer lasting stability. History reminds us A common prosperity country Rarely fight each other.
With such friends, who needs enemies to push the demolition of Trump’s Middle East peace agreement?
These achievements are even more significant, given that the Biden-Harris government has done little to expand the peace circle of the agreement. In fact, previous governments prioritized preferential treatment for malicious actors. The result is peace that continues but also stagnates, and there is no potential for development to permanently reshape the Middle East.
Now, the United States has another chance to regain the momentum of peace created by President Trump during his first term, and the administration should make the Expanded Scope a priority in foreign policy. The United States should reaffirm our commitment to Israeli security and promise that any country seeking a partnership with Israel will also find the United States a willing partner. especially, Saudi ArabiaEntering the agreement will be a step forward.
