Tyler Robinson, suspect in assassination Charlie KirkAuthorities said Sunday that under a “special watch” until a mental health assessment is completed.
RobinsonThe department said in a statement that 22, the special surveillance status of the Utah Sheriff’s Special Housing Department will be maintained so that authorities can “follow him” until officials can clear his mental health.
The sheriff’s department said the process could take several days.
After the removal, Robinson will continue the classification process to determine where he will live during his detention.

“He will continue to be monitored by mental, medical and guardians throughout his stay.” Sheriff’s Department explain.
The department notes that the “special watch” identity is for a variety of reasons, including the type of crime, behavioral issues, violence and suicide comments of the suspect.

The Sheriff’s Department said it was particularly aware of any suicide comments or concerns about Robinson.
Robinson allegedly Shoot and kill Kirk, 31, was at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. Kirk is a married father of two who is speaking to the crowd at a U.S. turning point event on campus in Orem, USA.

Robinson was arrested 33 hours later Chase.
Law enforcement sources had previously told Fox News that the father who turned him to authorities told the FBI that he recognized his son from surveillance video images released during the FBI search.
Sources told Fox News Numbers that when Robinson arrived at his father’s home, he said he wanted to commit suicide. Sources told Fox News Numbers that the father talked to the minister known to the family before passing it over to his son.

Utah Gov. Brian Cox told ABC News Sunday morning that Robinson did not work with authorities during his detention.
“He didn’t admit it to the authorities. He didn’t cooperate, but everyone around him was working together. I think that’s important.”

The governor said Robinson’s family and his romantic partner, a man who transitioned from male to female, was working with the authorities. He added that those who know the 22-year-old said he “deeply instilled leftist ideology.”
