President Donald Trump made a clear and timely commitment in his speech at the Washington Bible Museum on Monday. He promised that under his new leadership, Ministry of Education Will ensure that no students or teachers pray in public schools.
This clarity is not only welcomed, but long overdue as so many Americans worry about the moral direction of education.
As the president of Christian University, I see it every day Praying to shape students’ lives. I have seen them turn to God for wisdom, for peace and courage, not because someone has told them, but because they are free to do so.

Education becomes more in-depth when students are allowed to bring their entire self (including beliefs) into the learning environment. It becomes formation. This should not be limited to private institutions.
Forgive me, but I prayed wrongly to the school
President Trump Simply put: “To have a great country, you must have religious beliefs.
Schools have long misunderstood the First Amendment. The term “separation of the church and the state” has been abused, pushing prayer and religious expression away from public life. Students were told that they could not pray at lunch, they could not bow their heads before the game, they could not mention their belief in the speech.
Many school administrators are not Hostility to faithjust afraid of crossing the legal route. But the law has always been clear: Individuals, voluntary prayer not only allows, but is protected.
President Trump’s proposal is not to force religion into the classroom. It’s about protecting freedom of expression. Students have the right to read the Bible, organize prayer groups, and talk about their faith as long as this is not destructive or mandatory. These rights will not disappear from the school gate. If anything, they are most needed in the places our young people shape for the future.
We have seen what happens when schools lose their moral center. Remove from prayer and faith Public Education No more neutral environments. It creates a vacuum. In that vacuum, chaos and anxiety have increased.

The recent Kennedy v. Bremerton case confirmed that even public employees can pray privately as long as the school is not formally acknowledged. For students, protection measures are even stronger. The federal government has the right to ensure that these constitutional rights are not ignored or rejected.

President Trump’s promise is more than just school prayers. It is about restoring the status of faith in public life. He is right, saying that our children should not be ashamed of their faith.
