President Trump said he was ready to impose sanctions on Russia as long as NATO allies agreed to do the same thing as he continued to oppose the war between Russia and Ukraine.
“I am ready to impose major sanctions on Russia when all NATO countries agree and start doing the same,” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social Saturday.

At the same time, he called on NATO to impose high tariffs on China.

The president said on “Fox & Friends” Friday that he was considering “sanctions on banks are very difficult and are also related to oil and tariffs.”
He talked about how he had 50% tariffs on India in India as it continued to buy oil from Russia, a move he believes supports Russia’s war against Ukraine.
He told European leaders this month that he was “very dissatisfied” with the purchase of Russian oil.
This week, the president expressed frustration after several Russian drones entered Polish airspace on Wednesday. They were shot down by NATO allies but left Poland and wondered why and how it happened.
The move was condemned by European allies, and Russia said it had no plans in Poland.
