The Florida Department of Education plans to investigate any teacher in the state who engages in “despicable, violating behavior” Charlie Kirk.
“Getting my attention, some Florida educators posted despicable comments on social media about Charlie Kirk’s horrible assassination,” Florida Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas wrote in a memo sent to the dean of the state school and shared it with Fox News Digital.
He added: “This few are not a great, high-quality teacher that accounts for the vast majority of educators in Florida. But I will investigate every educator who engages in this evil, horrible behavior.”
Kamoutsas said the memorandum should remind people that teachers “maintain higher standards as civil servants.”

The memo comes after a teacher in Clay County who allegedly shared an article on social media that read: “This may not be an idiot. We all want to wake up, but it’s close to me,” according to the report. The Voice of Florida.
Kamoutsas shared a news article about the suspension and wrote on X: “I praise Broskie @Oneclayschools officials for taking quick action to pause the death of a mean teacher, Charlie Kirk, a dedicated conservative, Christian and family. This kind of behavior is unacceptable.
Florida Government Ron DeSantis Also shared on his X page, the Ministry of Education memo read: “Celebrating the assassination of a 31-year-old two kids is disturbing; those teachers who do so will be completely unacceptable. Glad @Stasikamoutsas will bring a sense of responsibility. We are sad to see many teachers across the United States celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk.”

The memorandum states that teachers should abide by the code of ethics and says that the commissioner can use “probable reasons for possible approval of educator certificates.” It can also be a violation of the educator’s behavior that makes students or their families feel “unpopular or unwilling to participate in a learning environment”.

“Although educators have First Amendment rights, these rights are not limited to their professional responsibilities,” Kamoutsas added. “The personal view of open educators may undermine the trust of the students and families they serve.”
