Northwood High School principal Jonathan Garrick told the school family in a message, according to Bethesda magazine.
Police said before officers left Northwood, police said another person with a gun came in around 12:21 p.m.
Northwood administrator and Montgomery County Police Department Community engagement officials found two suspects in a room. Gun magazines are visible on the table, and the officers found a BB gun on one of the suspects, and the gun of another was 9mm in the pocket of another suspect.
Police took the two teenagers to a local station, and the two suspects were later released to their guardians.
