Security experts are questioning the adequacy of previous threat assessments Charlie Kirk Conservative activists were assassinated in front of thousands of attendees at an event Wednesday at Utah Valley University. The review was conducted when federal authorities ended the pursuit of suspects related to the attack.
“University There are so many speakers on campus. They rarely plan to shoot longer shots for someone with a rifle,” Hal Kempfer, a retired Marine Corps lieutenant, explained in an interview with Fox News Numbers.
What does Kirk’s assassination mean to Trump’s safety
“Sniper assassination is far less common, even in an active shooter scene, the usual shooter will usually enter a closed space where the person is very close to the victim’s position,” he said.
“Execute and plan for counter-attack missions to be more involved and plan for counter-attack missions,” Kemper said.

The revelation highlights an unprecedented challenge of law enforcement efforts to protect political gatherings in college campuses and communities across the country.
“The campus is limited in security. They don’t have an unlimited budget for that. They have six officers there, and for any university campus security force, it’s not a few officials. But they also have 3,000 people at the event.”
Wednesday’s event, which was supposed to be the first event in the series Turning point United States “America’s Journey to Come Back” is nothing special. Kirk is the charming founder of the country’s conservative youth activist group, recognized for his signature political debate on university campuses.

Despite these measures, former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan said the gunman may have determined his position on the roof in advance, making it difficult to spot him for safety.
“He was obviously not found and no one saw him on this roof,” Kaplan told Fox News host Jesse Watters in an interview Wednesday. “It was a very well-planned, very well-planned plot.”
The assessment was echoed by former New York State Senator and Homeland Security Advisor Michael Balboni, who said: “A shot hit the target from 200 meters away and then escaped and then no one saw them – they were the sign of professionals.”

“The hardest thing to do is to expect where the threat comes from and what the threat is. I think in an open air environment like this, a rifle attack may be the hardest to stop.”
Kaplan said the gunmen also considered how to evade law enforcement after a deadly shooting.
What is a bolt action rifle? Our Know About the Guns To Kill Charlie Kirk
Kempfer noted that the gun that authorities retracted on Thursday was a bolt-driven rifle, a common hunting weapon worthy of its durability and reliability. He explained that unlike semi-automatic weapons, bolt-like rifles are usually kept in the room instead of popping up cartridges without shells (or “brass”) to collect investigators.
“It’s just one of your things, and if you’ve considered it, you know you can’t provide any forensic evidence to investigators,” he said.
At a press conference on Friday, authorities announced that Tyler Robinson was detained after being transferred to law enforcement by his family. Robinson is determined based on a series of videos and photos FBI.
