What if you can write your own popular show plot without a crew or camera? This is exactly what San Francisco startup calls the goal of fable to bring its new AI Platform, display host.
Now there is Amazon support By Alexa Fund. Although the exact number of investments has not been disclosed, Amazon’s participation signals are increasingly interested in AI-driven entertainment. The Fable describes Showrunner as “Netflix for AI”, a place where anyone can type in a few sentences and generate an episode immediately.

Hollywood turns to AI tools to rewire movie magic

A new era of user-generated entertainment
Instead of watching the show passively, the presentation host invites users to create them together. You can build an episode from scratch or jump into the world where others start. It’s all done in words: just describe the scene or story and you can use AI. The company officially launched Exit Valley, a satirical animated series set to the fictional technology hub Sim Francisco. Think about the whole family, but targeting Silicon Valley Titans like Elon Musk and Sam Altman. It’s edgy, fun, and completely powered by AI. If you’re curious, head to the Showrunner website and direct it to their Discord Server, which is streamed and makes a new Discord server in real time.

Supported by Big Tech and led by VR veterans
Edward Saatchi, the CEO of Fable, has a boundary history. Before launching the fable, he co-founded Oculus Story Studios, Oculus VR Acquisitioned by Meta. His latest mission: Turning Hollywood from one-way broadcast to two-way dialogue.
“The Hollywood streaming service will be two-way entertainment,” Saatchi told Variety. “Audiences will be able to create new plots in a few words and become characters with photos.”
This vision has begun to take shape. Fable previously released 9 AI-generated South Park plots, which can earn more than 80 million views. The plots are produced by the company’s proprietary AI engine, which tells stories for animation.

Why do animation come first
Currently, Showrunner is completely focused on animation content, which is by no means accidental. According to Saatchi, animations with AI are much easier than realistic videos. While tech giants like Meta, OpenAI, and Google are competing to create lifelike AI videos, fables avoid the battlefield. Instead, the startup hopes to provide everyday users with tools to become writers, directors, and even stars. It only requires some imagination and a few lines of text.
