ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland was held Thursday as law enforcement reports on the threat to military schools, officials said.
Lieutenant Naweed Lemar, a spokesman for the academy’s base, said in a statement that Annapolis Academy is working with local law enforcement to address the threat’s report.
“The base was blocked for caution,” he said. “This is a developing situation and we will provide updates where available.”
Police are near Bancroft Hall, which has more than 1,600 crew members in dormitories. According to the school’s website, it is considered the largest single university dormitory in the world.
