ESPN host Stephen A. Smith opposes individuals who publicly celebrate assassination Charlie Kirk.
In an episode of Thursday’s podcast, Smith actively condemns anyone who celebrates Kirk’s Killing.
“I don’t care what his political beliefs are! I don’t care how he feels!” Smith added, feeling pain for Kirk and his family. “He died at the age of 31. His wife was a widow. His children were fatherless because his ideas and beliefs were obviously different from others.”

“Then I’m going to go online and see people celebrating it!” he continued. “Shameful! You are shameful!”
Smith also praised the New York Yankees for honoring Kirk Wednesday night before their game against the Detroit Tigers. The Yankees remain silent with Kirk and showcase his image on the giant stadium.
“Last night, the New York Yankees props were moments of silence,” Smith said. “We shouldn’t be indulging in something like this. We shouldn’t say it’s OK. I don’t give you who you are, who you are, black, white or anything in the middle!”
Smith added that he hopes the FBI finds the suspect.
“I hope the FBI and law enforcement can catch this guy and do what needs to be done with him.”

Others who made controversial comments after Kirk’s death had the consequences.
MSNBC fired political analyst Matthew Dowd to make Kirk’s “hate” remarks, leading to his own assassination.
Carolina Panthers fired Charlie Rock, a member of the team communications department, after a social media post related to Rock, which seems to indicate that he questioned why people felt sad about Kirk being shot. The Wu-Tang clan song “Protect Ya Neck” was also shared.
“The views expressed by our employees are their own and do not represent the views of the Carolina Black Panthers,” the team said in a statement posted on social media. “We do not tolerate any kind of violence. We take this matter very seriously and address it with individuals as a result.”
Kirk Utah Valley University Wednesday in Orem. The 31-year-old was mostly surrounded by college students at the start of the game.
Authorities have not publicly identified the suspect in the shooting. But officials provided more details about the people they followed during a Thursday morning press conference.

FBI special agent Robert Bohls and Utah Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason said they got “good video” of shooters while on the Utah Valley University campus.
Investigators added that they believed the suspect was “university-era”.
An investigation into Kirk’s assassination is still underway.
