President Donald Trump speaks to the country after Charlie Kirk’s death Utah Valley University.
The president spoke in sincerity and sympathy, called the perpetrator a “monster” and declared it a “dark moment to America.”

Trump also issued a strong warning about the dangers of political rhetoric:
“All Americans and the media have to face this fact that violence and murder are those tragic consequences of demonizing you every day, year after year, the most hateful and meanest ways of demonizing.”
Trump added that over the years, radical leftists compared “beautiful Americans like Charlie to the Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals.”
By the end, Trump vowed that Kirk’s mission would last.
