The surgery at Port G of Long Beach, California, was temporarily stopped after 67 containers fell from a cargo ship.
The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating why the containers fell off the cargo ship after 9 a.m. Tuesday, the port said in a press release.
The port said on social media that the drop container damaged the clean air barge connected to Mississippi, and a person at the scene was reluctant to disclose the authorities’ naming and suffered minor injuries.
The Coast Guard has established a security zone in the 500-yard area near Mississippi. The port said Pier G reopened before 11:07 a.m. Wednesday, except for the ship’s vicinity, the port said.
