President Donald Trump A “last warning” was issued to Hamas to accept his deal and release the rest of the hostages or face the consequences.
“Everyone wants the hostages to come home. Everyone wants the war to end,” Trump wrote. “The Israelites have accepted my terms. Now Hamas accepts it too.”
He continued: “I warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting it.” “This is my last warning, and there will be no more! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Last month, Trump said the rest of the hostages would return only if Hamas “faced and destroyed.” At the time, Hamas cited alleged progress made in the Ceasefire talks.

On August 26, Witkoff told Fox News’ Bret Baier in a “Special Report” that he and Trump took the hostage home that week.
“Over the past six to seven weeks, a deal has been reached on the table that will free up 10 of the 20 people we think are alive,” he said.

Witkoff did not elaborate on the reasons for the delay in the return of the hostages, nearly two years after the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Hamas continues to hold fifty hostages, with only 20 of them being assessed to be still alive.
Trump had previously predicted in late August that the end of the Gaza war would “end” in the next “two to three weeks”, although he did not say how it would be achieved.
