President Donald Trump The 2026 G20 Summit will be held on Friday at his Doral Resort in Miami, Florida.
Trump shared the decision at an Oval Office press conference, noting that the location is ideal because of its proximity to the airport.
“The host will be a very exciting thing G20,” Trump said. “The United States will be honored to host this as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States next year. In nearly 20 years, the United States has held its first summit here in the United States. ”

Director of the National Economic Commission Kevin Hassett The president said he would serve as chief coordinator of the summit and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will organize the agenda.
Trump noted that he would not make money from the event.
The Trump administration considered the doral measures to host the 2020 G7 summit in his first term, although the idea was abandoned due to “crazy and irrational hostility from the media and Democrats,” Trump wrote in an October 2019 social media post.

The International Forum includes 19 developing and developed countries, seeking solutions to economic and financial problems.
According to the G20 website, which includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, India, India, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Africa, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States as well as the European Union and the African Union.
Meeting location, date and attendees vary every year.
Trump said he had invited Polish President Karol Nawrocki, who visited the White House on Wednesday.

During the Obama administration, the last time the U.S. held its full G20 summit was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2009.
