Florida opens ‘Deportation Depot’ migrant detention facility inside former prison

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s office told Fox News Friday that Florida has opened a second immigration detention center for detainees and is now accepting detainees.

The detention center is located inside the former baker correctional facility in Sanderson, north of the state.

As of Friday, 117 people were in custody, and the facility has the capacity to reach up to 1,500 people.
