The tone is just done The largest product release As part of IFA 2025 and key products, it is a new entry-level basic smart light bulb lineup. While still not as cheap as some of the products you find on Amazon, it is designed to compete with budget competitors like Govee and Aqara, with bulbs starting at under $20.
The new range includes A19 bulbs, GU10 spots and striped lights with color choices. Actually, you won’t lose much compared to regular color/white bulbs. They still run on the same platform and enable extra functionality when using bridges or cross-threads, and provide Bluetooth.
To highlight the differences, Hue released a feature comparison table. You can’t dim the necessary bulbs, they provide a reduced white range (2200 to 6500k, not 1000 to 20000k) and have less accuracy in color quality. The latter is arguably the most important feature for people who use smart light bulbs to sync with TVs or need to have an exact match between light bulbs.
You will be able to purchase bulbs that are necessary to shades starting this month, while the new A19 bulbs are available separately for $25 and will cost $60 in four-piece packaging. Required strips are $60 for 5 meters long (16 feet) or $100 for 10 meters (33 feet). You can also capture the A19 bulb in the launch kit in the US, which costs $80 for the Essential E27 2-piece and Hue Bridge V2 and up to $100 for the Essential E27 4 4-piece and Hue Bridge V2.
Another major part of the Hue Smart Lighting puzzle is the Hue Bridge Pro. It has a more serious black look to indicate extra power than the white model of the past. This includes five times the processing performance, 15 times the memory of the emergent Hue Bridge V2 10 years ago.
With the extra power, the Huge Bridge Professionals debuted a new feature called Hue Motion Aware. This converts a hue bulb (including 95% of existing models) into a motion sensor that can detect motion and trigger motion or safety alerts.
Hue says you can easily upgrade your current tone bridge, “just a few clicks”, meaning multiple bridges will be combined into a single bridge professional by the end of the year. The Bridge Professional arrived in North America for $90 in September 2025.
