Samsung's $650 Galaxy S25 FE Gets Fast 45W Charging, Thinner Design

Samsung’s new $650 Galaxy S25 FE is getting some of my favorite features $1,000 Galaxy S25 Pluswith many hardware adjustments that can reduce the price. Samsung revealed its phone number Thursday morning The life of unpacking the galaxythere are new ones Galaxy Tab S11 Tablet.

However, what I’m particularly excited about is the S25 FE’s larger battery and faster charging speeds compared to previous models. The S25 FE will get 45-watt wired charging, matched with the Galaxy S25 Plus, and will power the 4,900-MAH battery. Samsung claims that this will charge 0% to 65% in 30 minutes as long as you use it with a wall charger that supports that speed.

The S25 FE also supports 15-watt wireless charging, which Samsung describes as “QI2 ready” – This means the phone doesn’t have QI2 magnets for accessories, but you can get a magnet that can be used with a wireless charger or wallet. I hope this is a change for our Galaxy S26 phone next year, especially now Including magnets exist Google’s Pixel 10 linesbut this does mirror the Galaxy S25 cable.

The S25 FE is thinner and lighter than last year’s S24 FE, but otherwise it looks very similar to last year’s phone. The S25 FE uses Samsung’s Exynos 2400 processor, the same as this $900 Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fe I’ve commented on this recently. It may not be as powerful as the Qualcomm chip in the more expensive Galaxy S25, but it should be powerful enough to handle low-light photography, Galaxy AI capabilities, and most apps and games. It also has a camera system similar to last year’s phone, with a 50-megapixel wide lens, a 12-megapixel Ultrawide and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens that supports 3x optical zoom. Its selfie camera is also 12 megapixels.

The phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, the same as last year’s FE, with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 1,900 columns. It comes in four colors: Navy, icy blue, black and white.

We have to test the phone, but the FE reflects a lot of things we see on the Galaxy S25 Plus. Similar body, monitor, battery, charging speed and software, but in terms of switching, a series of small steps in terms of specifications.

If you just want a galaxy phone with all the new features and don’t care about the fastest processor or the highest camera, the FE may be the right one. However, this fall, we are still in a lot of new phone announcements, especially if you are not Samsung or Android loyal when shopping in this price range.
