The documents were the first commander sent by the Justice Department, which was summoned in early August as part of the Epstein detector of the bipartisan.
Given that House Republican leaders decided to pair resolutions with “rule votes,” a procedural barrier that allowed the House to debate several unrelated bills before voting on those measures, it was no surprise that Democrats oppose Wednesday’s vote. Traditionally, “rule voting” belongs to the party.
House leaders chose to believe that the rule approved the Epstein resolution after it was passed, a method of fast tracking legislation that considers the measures passed after completing procedural obstacles.

The investigation itself is bipartisan, a result of efforts at an unrelated House Oversight Committee meeting, with both Democrats and Republicans voting to force Conger to start the investigation.
The release of the Voting and Oversight Committee appears to be to eliminate R-ky. Rep. Thomas Massie and D-Calif. Ro Khanna’s efforts, demanding a vote on his own bill, directed DOJ to publish all records on Epstein.
