MSNBC host Joe Scarborough urges Illinois government JB PritzkerDemocrats do something “radical” on Tuesday – working with President Donald Trump to resolve violent crimes in Chicago.
Trump has repeatedly advised over the past few weeks Send the National Guard to Chicago Hundreds of federal forces were deployed to Washington, DC to fight crime. Pritzker retreated, calling the idea a “dangerous force snatch.”
While Scarborough agrees that Trump may lack the constitutional power to deploy the National Guard in Chicago, he argued in “Morning Joe” that he should at least be willing to work with the president.

“I actually think JB Pritzker should do something radical,” Scarborough said. “I think he should answer the phone, call the president and say, ‘You know, I know you don’t have constitutional authority, can deploy the National Guard here and go to my [city]. You can do this in DC, you can’t do this in Chicago. But let’s get up. ‘”
Scarborough comments have reported that at least 58 people are Shooting and eight people killed in Chicago On Labor Day weekend, though both Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson insisted that the city does not need federal aid.
The MSNBC host criticized the two Democratic leaders for understatement.
“Because now, just ‘hey, nothing is visible here, ‘going here, ‘hey, Donald Trump, we don’t need you,’ and the mayor talks about ‘we’re going to protect the dignity of people in our city.’ Well, protect their lives! Scarborough said.

He added: “For us, it’s radical to figure out what I’ve been saying from the beginning. [with] Washington, that’s what politicians have built a partnership to protect people. ”

Johnson signed an executive order on Friday dismissing Trump’s threat to deploying federal forces or National Guard.
“We don’t need to violate the constitution and illegal military occupation,” Johnson said.
