Exclusive: President Donald Trump America250 Organization Fox News Digital creates the world’s largest American flag ahead of the semi-annual celebration on July 4, 2026.
The flag is expected to measure 776 feet and 1,492 feet in length.
The flag is expected to be longer or taller than the Empire State Building in New York City and will be nearly half the size of the Pentagon.

Sources involved in its creations told Fox News Digital that the National Mall is not enough to release the flag, and officials are considering announcing it at sprawling venues such as Andrews, Maryland’s United Base, NASCAR, or the location in Lebanon, Kansas (the U.S. Geographic Center).
“Everything that President Trump has done is historic and bigger than life.” United States 250 Executive Director Ari Abergel told Fox News Digital. “The America250 will not be any different, we are unveiling the launch of everything by breaking a huge world record – creating the largest American flag in the world.”
According to Guinness World Records, Katar recorded the largest flying flag in 2013, with its flag measuring 1,097,672 square feet.
Azerbaijan records the largest flag flying in 2024, with each Guinness being 25,598 square feet.
Sources told Fox News Digital that America 250’s largest flag would “blow them away” and weigh more than 1,157,000 square feet.
“The flag will be made in the United States and unfolded by hundreds of Patriots in an extraordinary moment of national unity,” Abergel told Fox News Digital.

The flag will be unveiled in a “First Celebration” way, according to Ambassador Monica Crowley, director of the U.S. Agreement and chief media representative of the U.S. 250.
The flag may be unveiled in spring 2026.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, national sentiment is bright and optimistic,” Crowley said. “There is no better time to host a spectacular birthday party for our country, including unfolding the largest American flag in history.”
Crowley told Fox News Digital that 250 years of the United States are “activated unforgettable moments that will fill American hearts with patriotism and pride and pride for the years to come.”
America250 is expected to host other events in 2025, including the U.S. Navy birthday in October and the U.S. Marine Corps birthday in November.
