We prefer teachers’ unions rather than educate our children. Only 4% of my children can Reading Grade. Too many kids were shot and we need to make sure they pass safely to and from school. We had a family shooting down the street. I presided over too many funerals and I don’t want to do other funerals.

We didn’t slide further. We are at the bottom of the rock. Our left-wing mayors and governors value Virtue signals and diversity compared to real solutions, they will not help. So, I have no problem with Trump sending troops.

At the same time, I must say I saw it National Guard Just a temporary fix. I think this is equivalent to rehabilitating heroin drug users. Soldiers can patrol the streets and arrest criminals. But they can’t rebuild a broken family. They cannot guide fatherless teenagers who are about to recruit into a gang. They cannot create jobs, teach life skills or restore hope. When the soldiers left, the same old conditions remained and the cycle of violence was restored.

The real answer is not military boots, but community roots. For more than a decade, my nonprofit Hood Project Hood has been working to improve our community.

We have trained young people to engage in industries such as construction and masonry to enable them to work at the center of our construction.

We mentored the boys and girls, otherwise they would be pulled into the streets. We provide entrepreneur programs, job preparation training and faith-based guidance that change from the inside out.

We’ve seen the results. We bring countless young people to the path of opportunity, becoming responsible citizens with the ability to take care of their families. These are not abstract ideas, but tangible victory, winning blockade, and living.

The National Guard can calm the streets. But this is Organizations like the project hood That will change the streets. If we want to win this country, that is where Trump and the United States have to focus, one block at a time.
