“We will do everything we can to deploy the president, the White House,” Ciattarelli said at an event held at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey last week.
It’s not just New Jersey.
This year’s statewide and top municipal competition from coast to coast were partially constructed as a referendum on Trump and his agenda.
Democrats and Republicans in New Jersey and VirginiaIt is the only country to hold governorship and legislative elections a year after the presidential election, as a key barometer for next year when the Republican Party will defend its House and Senate majority.
Additionally, the list was in November’s vote on California Congress re-divided, the three state Supreme Court contests at the Pennsylvania battlefield and New York City High-profile mayoral election.
New RNC president vows to “Calling the president to win”
“In today’s hyperpartisan environment, each election is conducted and its impact on national parties is (over-)analyzed,” senior political scientist Wayne Lesperance told Fox News.
New England College Dean Lesperance said the November election results “will be the conclusion of experts on the prospect of President Trump and Republican presidents or Republicans or Democrats regaining control of Congress.”

The Democrats who planned to withdraw from the political wilderness after last year’s election setbacks, when they lost control of the White House and the Senate and failed to win a House majority, highlighting their success so far in the special election.
Last week’s special election victory in Red State, Iowa, where Democrats flipped Republican Senate seats Commission of Democratic States (DNC) Chairman Ken Martin touted: “We have done a great job in every election in the vote since the opening of Donald Trump.”
“We have wind on our backs,” Martin said.
Trump, Democrat, holds competition convention before midterm
But special elections are far from the perfect barometer to come.
“It is logically impossible to assume that a state Senate race results provide insight into the president’s or opposition national opinion,” Lesperance said.
Republicans point to many problems facing the Democratic Party.
“It’s sad for the DNC to be the fact that the Democratic approval rate is at a 30-year low as the party has bleed heavily over 2 million voters over the past four years,” he said. Republican National Committee Communications Director Zach Parkinson told Fox News.
This is a careful observation of the highest election in 2025.
New Jersey
Republicans believe that their momentum is right around them when they try to win the first governoral election in New Jersey in blue New Jersey in more than a decade.
They pointed to Trump’s performance in Garden State last November, when the president lost from 16 points in the 2020 election to a six-point deficit in 2024.

Ciattarelli, whose third consecutive bid for the governor of New Jersey, nominated the Republican Party earlier this year, partly due to Trump’s approval.
Ciattarelli argued in his main victory speech that Sherrill would nationalize the game by connecting him to Trump.
“Tag me, my Democratic opponents will do everything to change the subject when we focus on these key issues in New Jersey. Trust me, if the sport is a drinking game, and every time Mikie Sherrill says Trump, you have a shot every day at AAA-Never Angrill In-Ave Trump,” Cittarelli said. ”
Sherrill was a former U.S. Navy official and former federal prosecutor was the voting leader in the election showdown before winning the first Congressional election in 2018.
Murphy was first elected governor in 2017 and was term-limited.
Virginia
Republican Governor Winsome Earle-Sears faces with former Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger in his game to succeed Republican Governor Gle
Youngkin was blocked from running for reelection because the Virginia Constitution did not allow the current governor to seek consecutive terms.
Earl, 61, was born in the Caribbean island country of Jamaica and immigrated to the United States at the age of six. She served in the Marine Corps and was a former state legislator who won the election for Virginia’s first female lieutenant governor four years ago.

Spanberger, 46, was born in New Jersey. Former CIA intelligence official won Congressional elections in 2018 before being re-election in 2020 and 2022.
The November winner will make the first female governor of Virginia in the 4th century history of the Commonwealth. Additionally, if Earle-Sears ranks first, she will be the first black woman in the United States to win a gubernatorial election.
Trump and his policies are the main issues in the state’s governor’s showdown.
The President’s Ministry of Government Efficiency (Doge) has been carrying out this year’s mission to cut government spending and cut federal labor.
Doge’s move was initially caused by Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, — eagerly touched its large federal workforce in the densely populated suburbs of Washington.
“Trump is very important to the election,” said Kyle Kondik, executive editor of Crystal Ball of Sabato, a nonpartisan political obstacle at the University of Virginia Politics Center.
New York City
The mayoral elections in the most populous cities in the United States have always attracted attention, especially this year, where New York City may elect its first Muslim and first millennial mayor.
Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, 33, sent political shocks across the country after his victory in the Democratic mayor in June. And, he was attacked by Republicans, and his rivals to the proposed vote on the left.
Mamdani, a clear front-runner in the Blue City, faces former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is second in the primary and is now an independent candidate. Cuomo’s goal is to make a political comeback after resigning as governor four years ago in multiple scandals.

Mayor Eric Adams, who was also fighting on the ballot, is an independent Democrat and two-time Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.
Trump is a New Yorker native and has been in the spotlight during the game.
California Props 50
Voters attend California Blue A vote will be held in November whether to temporarily shelve its popular non-partisan redivision committee and allow a Democratic legislature to determine Congress for the next three election cycles.
Voting will be the climax of effort Gov. Gavin Newsom California Democrats will create up to five left-leaning congressional seats in Golden State in response to a new map signed by conservative Gov. Greg Abbott last week that will create up to five right-leaning U.S. House of Representatives in the Texas Red State.

The re-division of Texas is part of a broader effort by the Republican Party across the country to cheer their Razor-thin house majority to mid-party in mid-2026, when power-based parties traditionally faced political headwinds and lost seats.
Pennsylvania Supreme Court
Democrats currently have a 5-2 majority The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
But after completing a 10-year term, three lean Democratic judges in the state Supreme Court are working to keep their seats in a “yes” or “no” retained election.
The election could overturn the composition of the court over the next decade, seriously affecting whether Democrats or Republicans have an advantage in the state’s congressional delegation and legislature, and affecting key cases including voting rights and reproductive rights.

While state Supreme Court elections don’t usually attract national attention, there is a huge amount of external money in the competition to attract court balance in key battleground states.
This spring, the state Supreme Court held 4-3 liberal showdowns in Wisconsin received a showdown as both sides put resources into the election.
