A small invader penetrated the White House ground Tuesday, prompting a quick response from the U.S. Secret Service.
Anthony Guglielmi, Secret Service communications director, said a toddler toddler climbed over a fence on the north side of the White House, triggering a security alert.
“Today, the division in Secret Service uniform met a curious young tourist on the North Fence Line of the White House, who briefly entered the White House ground,” Gulimli said. “The White House security system immediately triggered the Secret Service Officer and the children and parents were reunited soon.”
This is not the first time a toddler has crawled on the White House fence. There is one Similar events in 2014 A toddler walked through the White House fence before then-President Barack Obama was about to speak to the country in Iraq. The violation prompted temporary lockdown and delayed briefings.
“We have to wait until he learns to question him, but to replace that, he got the timeout and was sent with his parents,” said Edwin Donovan, a spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service.
