If you can’t tilt $800 for a new iPhone with Apple Intelligent, rest assured: Apple just announced iPhone 16e. Priced at $599, it balances the specs, which is a soft and comfortable way to say it doesn’t have everything.
However, it has a lot. With the 6.1-inch screen, its device is bigger than the 4.7-inch iPhone SE, with notches from for faceID (no touch anymore), USB-C (Adios, Lightning) and the company’s A18 processor. There is another Action buttonit arrives in the iPhone 15 series, but has no camera controls.
This is the same as the $800 iPhone 16 processor, so you can access what seems to be all about Apple Intelligence. These include generated AI writing tools, Genmoji, Image Playground, Visual Intelligence, and Chatgpt integration. Yes, a mixed bag.
Famous hardware is probably Single 48 megapixel fusion camera, when there are three on the “Pro” iPhone. The last time I tested a single camera smartphone was the 2020 Pixel 4A. Oh, and finally the iPhone SE.
Apple also dropped the wireless charging and MagSafe’s iPhone 16e ring, which was surprising. I’m not a big fan of wireless charging. It’s slow, inefficient and confusing. That being said, I hope this is not the end of Apple’s wireless charging feature. I love the head part of MagSafe, which introduces a more elegant tripod and phone stand that locks the iPhone in place without a clamp or plug. In recent years, we have provided informal Magsafe cases for other smartphones, so I can do the same with an Android phone.
The iPhone 16e landed in black and white on February 28, but don’t worry, there will be a box in carbonated color. Even if they don’t have magsafe.

HP has purchased the company’s IP, but it doesn’t want pins.
The company behind the widely ridiculed AI Assistant badge/item has sold all its assets to HP for $116 million instead of the billion-dollar acquisition it hopes.
The company said in a note to customers that the AI pins will “continue to function properly” until 12 p.m. on February 28, less than a week from now. Customers will receive a refund if they are still in the 90-day return window (why did you buy it?!).
And a price tag that matches the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Additionally, the expected payment is no more than $2,000.
