Apple hasn’t given up on its mixed reality headset Vision Professionals, According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Gulman said the company has been offering the best direction for the product after a disappointing sale, but is now moving forward with two different models. One could resolve two biggest complaints about the original product – its weight and a $3,500 price tag.
Besides being easier, cheaper vision experts (this is easier said than done, especially in Trump administration’s round-trip tariffs) Apple is reportedly building another model that can connect to users’ Macs, allowing them to stream content on their displays and use enterprise applications.
But these are just steps towards what Gurman describes as CEO Tim Cook’s ultimate goal: build lightweight augmented reality glasses that someone can wear all day.
