Donald Trump’s new tariffs have caused strange dangers to the U.S. economy. Uncertainty abounds, but prices for everything from food to building materials seem to be likely to rise. Large electronic equipment such as TVs and soundbars may be located in front of the production line. Sony’s new flagship Bravia 8 Mk II OLED TV is expected to be launched at the same price or below the 2023 A95L, but rather at a higher cost, and it seems other brands follow it.
With so many unknowns, it’s no surprise that I’ll receive questions from friends considering the new TV or speaker bar. My advice on getting tariffs is the same as my advice to save cash in almost every comment I wrote: Buy last year’s model. Sure, you’ll miss a new feature or two, but you can still get great gear for a higher price. Roku’s Plus series is a great purchase, and it makes things simple for those who want to spend very little on a shiny new screen. Controlled by Roku’s intuitive intelligent system, this TV is easy to use and easy to use on the eyes, thanks to features such as solid black levels and contrast, and is powerful Quantum dot color. HESENSE U8N (8/10, recommended online) is a large blaster that gained nearly twice as bright as last year, and its skills aren’t over. You get sharp contrast and black levels with minimal light colors, vibrant colors and advanced gaming capabilities, and an intuitive Google TV interface to run the show.
Not every transaction takes one year. With the early release of the value-packaged QM6K, TCL Online Leads (8/10, recommended online), which we named the best TV for most people, is now on sale. It’s not the brightest TV in its price category, but this monitor wins the balance, offering excellent black levels with little light colors, rich and natural colors, and an impressive screen. It has excellent gaming features, is lightweight and easy to set up, and TCL’s Google TV version is a breeze. I don’t know how long this sale will last, but now is a good time to get it before it disappears.
Another great OLED TV, this time from Samsung, S90 (9/10, wired recommendation) It’s easy to be one of my favorite TVs in 2024. Now, there is much less “money”, thanks to the sale price, which matches LG’s excellent C4 when writing. This TV is stylish, contrasting with the perfect black level of OLED, its quantum dot color makes it bright and gorgeous and refined. The only real downside to this TV is Samsung’s lack of Dolby Visual Support, but I didn’t miss it because the TV illuminated everything I watched with its beautiful Oled Glow.
This is not a bargaining deal, but considering the cost of Sony’s latest OLED (if so), I think I’ll give it a reward. This may be your last chance to get Sony OLED in a while, and that’s not shocking. A95L debuted in 2023 (9/10, wired recommendation) Not as bright as the latest models, but there is a reason to be a prestigious one Value electronic TV shouts. With a Samsung QD-old display and Sony’s excellent handling, this TV is a clear marvel with some of the best picture quality I’ve experienced. This TV may return to retail prices when you see it, but if you’ve always wanted to have a good Sony Oled and it’s still selling, now is your time.
Audio bar
Vizio cracks the code on affordable audio performance, and this almost free speaker bar is the latest proof. AIO Bar (8/10, recommended online) won’t bring you too much extra way – no Wi-Fi support, no analog input, and even no remote control – but the clear and dynamic sound you’ll get blows away your TV speakers in the form of a single TV speaker, which looks good. The bar is very easy to set up, easy to control with a TV remote or Vizio app, and you can even wake it up from your phone for Bluetooth streaming.
If you are looking for serious sound upgrades in a system that allows you to grow with you, then Klipsch’s Flexus Core 200 (8/10, recommended online) is a smooth criminal. Flexus are made from real MDFs and not just thin plastic for most rods, they are made around performance, including spare speakers for immersive Dolby Atmos 3D audio. This bar alone offers a lot of hole punches, but you can upgrade it with Klipsch’s Flexus Allodes speakers and subwoofer, and even add your own submarine, thanks to the fact that it rarely includes traditional subwoofer output. It doesn’t include Wi-Fi, but it does provide Bluetooth streaming and applications for setting tweaks.
We have been back in time with Samsung’s flagship soundbar since the tariffs were worried for a long time. The Q990 series is the pinnacle of Dolby Atmos Soundbars, including multiple speakers, 11.1.4 channels, and an intuitive interface for clearing, complete and powerful immersive. Even in a booming economy, buying the latest iteration of Q990 often makes little sense, when you can usually get similar performance a few hundred dollars less. One thing you’ll get with the Q990C (now available two models) when you connect the gaming console to its alternate HDMI input is through the pass for VRR or ALLM included in the new model. Otherwise, this is a bargain after the knockout round with an all-in-one package.
