Queen guitarist Brian May returns to Coachella stage in surprise performance after suffering ‘scary’ stroke

The Queen’s Legend Guitarist Brian May After seven months of temporarily paralyzing the left arm, I unexpectedly returned on the stage of the 2025 Coachella 2025 Festival.

The 77-year-old rock idol joins late-coming music star Benson Boone during high-energy suit “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Boone announced to the Coachella crowd: “Please give up for Queen guitarist Brian May.”

He teased his collaboration on social media ahead of May’s surprise show.

“Look at who I ran into – on the way to the legendary Palm Springs…what might happen?!” May posted his head on social media as he shared a private jet with Boone.

He also shared a selfie with Boone and wrote in the title: “Do we look happy?!!! With @BensonBoone, this moment to cherish this moment, a real 22-year-old golden prodigy. I’m proud and happy to say we are now formal friends.”

May’s recent posts mocked him for feeling overwhelmed before Coachella showed a surprising performance.

The most recent health fear in May comes after the Queen Guitarist suffered a heart attack in May 2020.

He had previously undergone angiography at the hospital, which indicated that he had three crowded arteries that “had a danger to stop my blood supply.” He eventually chose to insert three brackets.

May admits he “probably died of arterial status” and he would not know if he hadn’t had an angiography.
