New York – U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy calls for New York City Leaders cleaned up the city’s subway system and Mayor Eric Adams sent an invitation to Duffy to experience first-hand the problems of the transit center plaguing crime-ridden.
Adams and Duffy boarded the ground on the BQE line in Brooklyn on Friday and rode into Manhattan on the subway with New York Police Department’s Transportation Commissioner Joseph Gulotta Crime prevention.

The high-profile visit comes two weeks after a letter from Duffy to the Metropolitan Transportation Agency (MTA), where he said the Trump administration “restores orders” and asked the department to hand over data on rider attacks, police patrols and fleeing fares.
“Thank you for your quick attention to this matter to avoid further consequences until and redirect or withhold funds,” Duffy wrote.
But Duffy, standing at a busy metro station, vowed to continue providing federal support to the city and confirmed that the government did not withhold funds.

Duffy and Adams said their administration will continue to work together to combat crime within cities, essentially using the governor as a middleman between the city and the federal government.
“I think Albany has to think deeply about how far we have to go to stop [crime],” Duffy said. “That’s more resources, and it’s more tools Albany has to offer [the NYPD] Arrest people. [The federal government] Donate a lot of money, and for us, we are partners. ”
