True crime reporters blocked outside courthouse where Karen Read is on trial file First Amendment lawsuit

Read’s second trial is on the way to jury selection. The first ended in the trial on July 1 after jurors were unable to reach consensus on the verdict.

She faces charges of murder, manslaughter and died on suspicion of supporting her Lexus SUV to O’Keefe in January 2022 and leaving him on the ground during a snowstorm.

She pleaded not guilty, denying the charges, and her defense argued that she was made up.
