this Commission of Democratic States (DNC) launched the first ever ad purchase against Elon Musk, and his multi-million-dollar injected Wisconsin Supreme Court race, previewing the party’s broader strategy in the future.
DNC ad purchases will continue Tuesday in seven local newspapers in Wisconsin until Tuesday with a target of $19 million Musk and his association PAC In a high-risk state Supreme Court election, Brad Schimel, a conservative candidate, spent on that election that would determine whether the court retains its current 4-3 liberals.
“Musk threatened Medicare, got stuck in Social Security services, and now he thinks he can buy a seat in the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” DNC chairman Ken Martin said in a statement Friday. “That’s why today, the DNC and our first paid media explicitly call on Musk to publicize his attempt to intervene in the Wisconsin election.”

DNC officials told Fox News Digital that the ads will run in seven local newspapers across the state – Chippewa Herald, Manitowoc Herald Times reporters, Beloit Daily News, Daily Jefferson County Alliance, Jeswell Gazette, Watertown Times and Watertown Times and oshkosh northwestern – and numerous news, no sales,
“Wisconsin deserves a Supreme Court justice, not super rich,” Martin said. “Now and forever, Wisconsin is not for sale.”
According to a compilation by the Brennan Center for Brennan for Pusticn for Busticn for Busticn for Business, the most expensive state Supreme Court in U.S. history is already the most expensive judicial election in U.S. history, reaching over $81 million in total and spending $56 million in state Supreme Court competitions two years ago.
Musk’s two super PAC representatives, Schimel, spent more than $17 million, while Musk donated $3 million to the Wisconsin Republican earlier this year, which could in turn be used for Schimel’s campaign.

As far as Democrats are concerned, they see the game as a fertile evidence base to test their attack on Musk as they hope to retain a vital state Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin and prepare for the 2026 midterm elections.
The effectiveness of Wisconsin’s advertising campaign is the effectiveness of Trump in narrow elections in the 2016 and 2024 presidential races, and remains to be seen.
But that’s because Democrats have struggled to revolve around a unified message after the 2024 election, which could make Musk and his administration’s Department of Efficiency (Doge) more attractive goals.

The Wisconsin voting numbers prove this. Five percent of five percent Wisconsin voters say Earlier this month, Doge was undermining plans required by law, while 47% said quasi-organizers were implementing Trump’s agenda, according to a survey by Marquette University’s Law School.
A larger 59% majority said Trump’s freeze spending and his closure of federal agencies exceeded his administration’s authority.
